New Build

Hi!
So here i am, all giddy over my new build.. Biggest Baddest and most expensive build i have ever done (Check my Signature)
So my first question is this since not all of my hardware has arrived yet.
Will the Rampage IV Extreme Black Ed. fit in a NZXT H440? or is my dream crushed before i even start building it? 😞
Second question.
I have
4x Noctua NF-F12-PWM For the push n' Pull configuration
4x Noctua NF-S12B-PWM Redux 1200 top and front of chassis
1x Noctua NF-A14iPPC-3000 PWM For the back of the chassis
And im planning to use a 5 way 4 pin PWM to control at least 8 of the fans since there are only two PWM ports(CPU and CPU_OPT) on the R4BE.

Thanks for reading this.
Johan

yes imo it will be fine. 🙂

It will be fine to what question? the fans or the chassis?

i meant the board 🙂 from the pictures of the case i see . there is space for 3 120mm at the front 2 140mm at the top or 3 120mm. and 1 140mm at the back. so no not 9 fans. i have a thermaltake MK-1 and 6 is the max. 9 is not needed imo

Yeah, the fans will no doubt fit problem is if the mobo will fit since the board is eATX and the chassi is not
But the chassis has quite a lot of space in it, tho it might overlay on the rubber pass trues. As long as the mounting holes line up then I can mod it to work.
Time will tell I think the mobo will arrive this week.

Question two was supped to be "is it a good idea to control 8 fans on two PWM ports."

YES and NO. It depends on the quality of the cable in the leads. i had a nxzt 2 bay controller that also catched on fire no joke. i burnt my cable trying with 3 fans on 1 pwm there was loads of smoke but no fire that time. and also i had a crosshair iv formula in the cheapest standard atx case . it fitted just 🙂 . So you should be fine

The fans uses power from a separate MOLEX and just use the PWN contacts for PWM management 38282 thats the splitter im going to use.

I will absolutely do that.Do you know if it will work to run so many fans on so few ports HiVizMan?I'll do my posting about this build with pictures on the right part of the forum when it's time.
