Drivers for ASUS ROG G750JS for windows 7

I have a ASUS ROG G750JS with windows 7. Cannot find a way to turn off either the keyboard backlight or the touchpad. The fn+f3 and f9 do not seem to work. Nor can I find the usual option to turn off the touchpad in the mouse control. Also can find no support for Windows 7 drivers on the ASUS sight. Any suggestions?

That's what the ATK ACPI drivers are for

Do you managed to install atk drivers? I think this is the issue in your case.

They only show drivers for Windows 8.1 for ATK. Will these work with Windows 7?

JSMoss, here is the ATK Support Download area with newest ATK drivers running on Windows 7 and 8

The Version V1.0.0034 is the same size file for Windows 7/8, they might not be the same, so you might as well download the Windows 7 x64 version. The newest Windows 8.1 in the G750JS Download area is Version V1.0.0033

Thanks for the info. The F9 disable touchpad still does not work nor does the command in the mouse control meun of my earlier ASUS seem to exist. Quite maddinging for a gamer.

JSMoss, even though the ATK package is for Windows 7, it likely wasn't tested on the G750JS - as the JS shipped with Windows 8.1 and WIndows 7 isn't supported. Using a back rev unsupported OS is bound to have gaps in function.

What about using the Asus Smart Gesture setting to disable Touchpad when a mouse is plugged in?

Of course it is unknown whether the Windows 7 Smart Gesture will work on the JS either, but it is worth a try 🙂

Thanks so much. Exactly what I needed.

They should, yes. You can try. Don't worry, they won't break your computer if they don't 🙂
