ROG SWIFT- Few Questions!

Zeruel

Hello ROG Community!

I have few question about the SWIFT....

What inputs does it have at the back of it. I know it has DP 1.2 but does it support HDMI as well?

Also, any clue when it releases in the US(NewEgg)?

it has 1 DP port, two USB 3.0 ports and a 5-way joystick for the OSD. And it's an 8-bit TN panel with G-Sync runs natively at 2560x1440 @ 144hz. Can't wait for the release..

I see, thanks for the replies.

Any solutions for hooking it up to a console?

Anybody know of an active converter the upscales 1080p to 1440p?

You'll have to convert DP to HDMI and it won't have any audio either because GSync doesn't support it (it uses the audio bandwidth for additional data). GSync only supports DP so it's the only display input on the monitor. You won't get GSync or 3D enabled from a console though - you will get to use up to 144Hz but consoles only output 30-60 FPS so it's not hugely beneficial tbh.

The console will need to support 1440p to natively upscale (in its display composition engine), otherwise the display chip can only use the image it's given from GPU to make an upscale approximation from 1080p to 1440p. It will fill the 27" resolution, but it won't be as good as native upscaling simply because it doesn't have accesst to the GPU's image composition data, only the final image its been sent.
