I think it's the touchpad because it's saying they are being held down maybe a sensor or something right now i can use a mouse just fine.

What I'm trying to find out if it is hardware or software. So, ignore the software info. Can you use the touchpad and buttons normal? Disconnect external mouse and use touchpad. If it works, then it's a software issue and we'll take it from there. If not, hardware problem means physical fix.

turn the laptop off, unplug, take the battery out, leave for the night, see if works in the morning

if it does not work -> hardware malfunction, contact service

*use Linux Mint live USB to double confirm if hardware is the problem
