Will the G750 JS drive the PG278Q at its full potential?

Just got the JS and wondering if external monitor output will be locked to the inferior Intel graphics or can it take advantage of the Nvidia 870m, which after all is the main selling point of the G750 JS.

does it have a mini display port out on it since its the only thing that monitor support?

EDIT: Any notebook with Optimus will not work with G-Sync.

MarshallR@ASUS....thanks for your response and I'd appreciate it if you can look into the question about disabling the NB monitor. The G750 JS is also used for non gaming activities in which both monitors would be required. Is it GSync that may require turning off the NB monitor and if so, would then turning off GSync allow for an extended desktop.

Got the G750JS to replace a G73JH and so far it's been a great upgrade.

Thx.

I've been told that miniDP to DP adapters don't work with G-Sync as the adapters are only DP 1.1 compliant, not the required 1.2, however I don't know about straight miniDP to DP cables. I will try to ask again tomorrow.

Confirm: If you buy a miniDP to DP cable and it says "DP1.2" on it - with no adapter - it will work.
