Any Issues with G46VW auto fan control?

I recently descovered that my sister's laptop had a BIOS problem that didn't allow the fan to go 100% (it's an ACER 5750G) ..... the company has released for some time now an application that allows you to set the fan at full speed).

Do the G series laptops have these issue? (I have a G46). Does tyhe BIOS allow the fan to go at full speed when necessary?

Well are you having an issue with your Fan? We only deal with Asus Gaming Note Books here don't know what to say about your Acer you'll have to deal with that in there forum.

I used the Acer as an example. How do we know that the G series laptop can raise the fan speed to 100%? Right now I don't seem to have any heating issues with my G46, but the Acer laptop got me thinking ....

Well then look through these thread, generally the only time we see fan problems is when systems are clogged up with dust or the pasting has failed. You can check for update BIOS here in Asus Support Downloads. Fan Speeds are controlled by you mother board there is no separate software that controls the fan speeds
