HELP - Upgrade SSD from HDD on G56JR issues

Hello guys,

I come to you today because I'm out of answers, and after having spent maybe 20 hours on the internet searching for answers, problems keep poping up.

Here is my problem :

Actual config :

Asustek G56JR
HDD 5.400rpm
Windows 8.1

I bought a SSD to upgrade : Crucial MX100 256Go. I want to install a fresh Win7 on it, via a bootable USB.

Problem is, I cannot select the partition in the installation process. I get an error message saying it must be GPT format. But I changed it to GPT already following tutorials and it is still not possible to install on the SSD.

SSD is recognized in BIOS, Legacy mode ON, BootSecure OFF, I don't have many other options to modify in the BIOS...

I definetely missed a step, thanks for your help guys. Any help or ideas are welcome !

Can I instal an 1tb Crucial M550 in my Asus ROG G56Jr NC234H? Will I have problems? Samsung its ok, but samsung pro is way more expensive. And the EVO or the first 840 ones have issues.
