Need advice on a new cpu cooler!

Hello all,

First off my basic Rig Info:

CM Storm Trooper case
Rampage IV Black Edition MOBO
4960x Ivy Chip
16G Ram dual channel(Kingston)
Corsair H100i cooler (which I think is broken)
Asus DCII GTX760 GPU
500G SSD & I TB HD
Corsair 1200 PSU

So I got my PC built for me 4 months and it worked flawless, until recently I noticed really high temps on Corsair link and in core temp.
It went from an idle 30-35c to a 45-50c idle. And at full load (No over-clock) 80c - 85c which I know is not normal.
I have re-applied thermal pasted and re-mounted twice, run everything on stock settings and still reach 90c. (This is playing Tomb Raider 2013 on normal settings)

This lead me to believe that the H100i has failed. All roads were leading to a broken pump. I don't care about RMA's or even trying to fix it. I just want a new cooler that does its freekin job and dosn't crap its pants if/when I overclock.

--->My question is what is the best cooler to date and will it fit in my case??

So far I have looked at CM Nepton 280l and Zalmans Resonator 3

Any suggestions or advice would be great!!

Thanks in advance!

Chris

It looks like the H220x would fit in your case. Which ever one you go with post back some pics and results for us please.

I will do indeed Sir.

Thanks again!

Yeah, the Swiftech H220X looks great. Is it advisable to use the same unit for the cpu and graphic card?

Christian, if you decide on the Nepton 280L, wait a a bit if you can. CM has updated that model to include quieter fans and also pump / waterblock improvements, but I'm not sure of the release date.Should be soon. Link here.

I just talked to Coolermaster today and they new nothing about any new updates. I ordered one yesterday online and I'm worried I won't be getting the newer model. Unfortunately it had already shipped. Has anyone heard anything?
