RIVE: 3way sli bridge doesnt work for 2 cards in SLI

So I have one gpu in the first slot and the 2nd in the 4th slot, using a 3way sli bridge I can't enable SLI for some reasons. Is this a board limitation orwhat? I see many people doing it except I can't do it on my RIVE. I tried using a different 3way bridge, nope doesnt work. However with a 2way sli bridge it just works fine.

Faithh71, It should definitely work, always has for me, it may be the connector itself. By the forth slot you do mean the suggested slot for two way sli on the RIVE, which should be the first and third position on the 3 way sli connector, the third card would go in the pcie slot between the two cards that are currently running in two way.

I have two 3 way sli bridges, tried both of them and didnt work at all.

Here are the slots I only use: http://i.imgur.com/LGj0MyA.jpg

2 GPU's only.

I ran my cards in SLI exclusively with the included 3-way hard bridge.

Sounds like your bridges are bum.

I have tried a different SLI bridge, doesnt work so its not the sli bridge.

For kicks.. Make sire those slots are "turned on" on the board... There's some dipswitches on the right side of the board for the PCIE slots to enable them or disable them

Speaking of SLI.. I run 3-way SLI.. And whenever I go to Nvidia control panel to enable SLI.. I have to hit ENABLE twice... The first time I hit it, the screen goes blank for a second then comes back on.. But SLI still shows that it's disabled.. So I hit it again and it works. Windows 8.1 64-bit..

Anyone else have this issue?

Isn't the 3 way connector 2 x 2 way connectors joined together. If I have understood your dilemma correctly, you are trying to use the ends of the 3 way connector for only 2 cards.

Edit: Apparently it should still work the way you want. You probably have something defective.

Yes exactly.

I've tried multiple different 3 way sli bridges, just nothing happens. The only way that it would work is just with 2way sli bridges or if i move the 2nd gpu closer to the 1st gpu so it uses the 1st & 2nd pair connectors and the 3rd pair not being in use.
