So rather than waiting for people here to respond - which they do so Voluntarily I might add (i.e. they are not paid) - you went ahead and bought a different motherboard from a different manufacturer - which had a z97 chipset.
There are a number of troubleshooting steps we could've done to help you out - but I guess that isn't necessary now.
Just an FYI - if you bought an ASUS board with a z97 chipset that would've worked too.
