Hi

I would like to ask if anyone had problem with latest nvidia drivers and PG278Qs gsync.

I did fresh install of Win 8.1. First problem was after installing 340.52 i did get error 0x00000018 for explorer.exe after every sign out.
Without realizing that its driver problem i did try to run some games with Gsync on. Everything game gave me same result - Gsync was on, fps droped to about 2, screen went from standard frame to black and back etc. After CLRT+ALT+DEL and closing game, gsync stayed running, desktop was laggy until next restart.

After realizing it might be driver that causing this i did antoher fresh install of Win 8.1 this time with 377.88 which removed error 0x00000018. But runing anything with gsync was still same.

Anyone have seen this?

Reinstall back to Win 8 Pro with 337.88 and every issue is gone.

Geez, sounds like Nvidia is really screwing the pooch with Gsync drivers 😕 I'd be a bit upset with them if I was ASUS.

Yeah hope they bring out some good drivers for G-sync soon my G-sync keeps switching off and back on ....

That's with 340.52

My computer locks up and requires a hard reset when the game loses focus (eg alt tab) and G-Sync is on.

PG278Q + Nvidia driver 340.52 WHQL issues
