BIOS Update affecting stability?

I have a Maximux VI Hero.

Previously I had my 4770k overclocked to 4.5 GHz at 1.25v.

I had been having issues with my date and time working and decided to try updating by BIOS. So I updated to 1505, but now my computer will blue screen after 5 seconds of stress testing at 4.5 GHz, even with higher voltage.

Is anyone aware of an issue? Is this BIOS not very compatible with the 4770k?

Gonna just have to revert I guess. Crashing at 4.4 GHz without even stress testing.

The jump from one BIOS to another can and will affect your stability you had with a certain overclock. Sometimes you can even lower the voltage or sometimes have to set it to a higher.
