Low usage on 780 FTW SLI

I also posted this on Overclock.net, I'm on the verge of re-installing windows again.

I just purchased 2 EVGA 780 FTW to replace my 670 FTW on my second pc. I can't do anything about the 670 as one of the cards is being rma. Anyways my problem is I just noticed that the gpu usage during benchmarks are only mid 80 on card 1 and mid 70% on card 2.

I ran the same benchmarks on my main PC with the 780ti and both gpu's were at 90% or higher all the time. I called EVGA and they suggest I switch out the cards. I did that and the 780 FTW did fine on my main rig, constantly over 90% usage. The same issue I had with the 780, now I have with the 780ti, so it's not the cards, it's the motherboard? I checked the lanes and they're both running at 16X. I even took out my soundcard and no difference.

MY 3920K is OC at 4.7Ghz, so I'm thinking it can't be the bottleneck. I updated the bios to the latest one and no difference. I use the stock settings and no difference. I checked the temps on the cpu's and they were in the 50C on the H105. My systems spec are below, both running Windows 8.1.

Here's my firestrike score.

Heaven score and fps, you can see gpu1 is 80% and gpu2 is 72% usage.

This is the 780 with the Z97, gpu1 is at 96%, and gpu2 is at 97%

Something is very odd here. I switched out to my old Asus 3D monitor and this is what I got. The score is a tad higher then on the Z97, but usage is up to 98% and 96%

Did a few test and it seems to be the cable and the input If I use the DVI-I cable in the DVI-D input, it gimps the performance. If I plug it into the DVI-I input, it's running at 96-98%.

EDIT: Spoke too soon, now it's back to being screwed up.

EDT: I found the problem, it's the nvidia geforce experience software. I took it off and things went back to normal, did a few reboots and things were still fine.

Glad you found the problem...

Geforce experience really needs to be stripped out of the driver installation...it causes grief for a lot of people...
