Not seen one person that had no problems with the card, do some research and see what I mean. RMA took about 4 months. Whole thing was a nightmare. No support from asus.

Not saying this card will be the same, just warning you, I wish someone warned me before I got the ares 2 it was cheap made garbage.
That the Asus RMA process takes forever I've personally experienced. Don't know what's wrong there, but I have the opinion, if a customer buys a special card it needs a good RMA service too and Asus clearly fails on this subject.

You speak about artefacts, did you overclock your vRam?

yeah, I would of thought being one in a thousand for a overpriced gpu, would have given me a faster rma. But no, I nearly had to take legal action just to get some sort of gpu replacement,

The ares 2 artifacts on stock speeds, I did try downclocking vram to stock 7970 speeds. Tried every thing just to play a game with no artifacts. Nothing helped.

Look at this video to show you the quality of asus limited edition gpus.

That's awful, this should clearly not happen to a card like this.

I know about the problem in the video, this is a easy to solve one, the red part isn't fixed properly, a simple tip on the inside and it will be in the correct position again. The bigger problem of the MarsII cards were the screws Asus used on the GPU coolers, on turn too much and they broke, a real shame. I had to cards and I had to replace 3 screws after repasting both cards back when I bought the cards.

My friend got this card a few days ago, I cannot wait to see it in action. I am sorely tempted by one myself but I don't have any water cooling in my PC, not sure if it's worth going down that route to just cool the GPU.

EK reused the AresIII waterblock design for the new EVGA GTX 980 Hydrocopper series. Not so exclusively designed for Asus.

Didn't read about any build with the new Asus Ares III, although there were two cards in stock at amazon.de and now it says "Currently not available."
I can't even find one of the very few reviews of the card, only the first look video from OC3D:

Ye same, no reviews of it yet except that unboxing your linking too.
Some1 in this post claimed he had a friend for a week ago or something who have got one.
