VRM Temps at 43-47 degrees even though using water

This struck me as surprisingly high. For instance right now, with the PC more or less idle, the CPU (i7-4790k) is at 30 deg, and the VRM is at 43. I've seen it as high as 47.
Is this natural? What does everyone else have?

Have the same temps as you 40c - 44c

that aint normal for water. not sure about the formula waterblock but on m6e on air its 40c-42c .. stress test raises it like 2 c
this was in a tj11 ambient temp around 29-31c.

on water its 32c and wont move from this even on stress test.

one big 9x120mm radiator, but mostly so I can run it with fans off when I'm not playing games.
Asus support dodged the question for a while, but eventually came back with "the temperature should be controlled under 65 centigrade". Since their marketing literature states the water cooling could be 23 degrees lower, I guess 40's is not unbelievable. But if non-MF7 boards with custom blocks get lower, I guess it suggests that the MF7 is not really that good.
