All right, Tell the manager at this point you are not a happy customer. You have a cpu that cannot do what it is specified to do and the agent you spoke with was very insulting. Say, I would think a company that has a reputation such as intel does would conduct business with their customers a little more respectful. Not only would I expect you to resolve my problem but I would expect you to do it respectfully. Tell the manager you've tried your 32GB kit with XMP at 1600MHz and you've tried setting up the ram manually at 1600MHz and it rufuses to work. You've ran memtest86 on the ram and there are no errors. You're sure it is the IMC on the cpu that is not capable of running 32GB at 1600MHz. Is an rma out of the question?

Be nice about it, I feel sure he/she will set you up an rma.

    Keep us updated.

That's excellent I figured they would. Now let's cross our fingers and hope they send you one that has a good IMC on it.

Can I ask what ram kit you are getting?

For now, it will be the same one. I haven't sent it off yet. If it works with the new CPU, then I'll just cancel the order out and keep the current one.

That is what I was going to suggest you do. When you get your new cpu installed give us an update on how it goes. Will be waiting for some good news !

Just installed the new CPU, went straight into the bios and loaded XMP 2400, getting a boot loop. So I'm not sure it's the IMC now. I also removed the video card and still getting a boot loop. I'm not so sure it's the ram since it's worked fine with two sticks, etc.

Did you try raising the system agent voltage?
