Raid0 Boot device not in BIOS after reinstall -unless settings changed

I did a reinstall to a clean OS, not the Asus recovery image. For some reason after the reinstall the boot drive wont show up in the bois unless i disable secure boot and enable CMS (makes all the raid and drive info show in post).

I didn't have CMS enabled when i recreated my raid so i am really unsure what happened.
I also can not boot in to bios from the windows advanced reboot menu.

Asus G750JZA
Win 8.1 64bit Pro

I have tried updating to the latest BIOS 208 still with no luck.

I'm not super worried but it would be nice to have my 18 second boot times back. 🙂

Any help would be great thank you

P.S. forgive me if its not called cms.

Akin2Silver, the Asus Recovery Flash drive, made with Asus Backtracker, creates a GPT disk before creating partitions and formatting them. The secure boot needs a GPT disk.

The Microsoft default is a MBR disk, which won't support Secure boot.

You could convert your MBR to GPT:

Windows Setup: Installing using the MBR or GPT partition style

Title: Windows support for hard disks that are larger than 2 TB
Subsection: How to initialize a data disk by using GPT

Change a master boot record disk into a GUID partition table disk (using command line - diskpart )

@hmscott your sir may just be a legend 🙂
I never really saw a need for GPT so never bothered using it.
Would seem that i should have, Not that i really need secure boot i just want my boot device to show up with out having to disable secure boot and enable cms.

I will attempt over the weekend and post back results.
Thank you very much for your help.

Question for any one that has done a GPT conversion.
If you take partition images from a MBR disk can they be restored to a GPT disk?
I was thinking of using some thing like
Shadow protect. http://www.storagecraft.com.au/shadow_protect_desktop.php
If any one has done this i would love to know what software you use?

Akin2Silver, you should ask them, pose the situation and what you can do with their tool(s) to solve it.

I did a little googling and found this software, that will let you do a non-destructive conversion from MBR to GPT - YMMV - I haven't used it 🙂

Edit: it looks like the AOMEI Lite (free) version allows conversion between MBR and GPT, it is the older version of their product, even suggests you download the new version at app startup - but the link has the list of features, and the MBR/GPT conversion feature has a Green Check for all 3 versions listed - including the Lite version, but to convert a System disk you need the $ Pro/Server version:
