    Have you checked chapter 3 of your motherboard manual? It should be listed in there.

    1st time on ramapge v extreme with 5960x , whats the max achievable on this cpu and at what safe voltages , some one mentioned max these go are till 4.5 / 4.6ghz with 1.35 volts

    so if my cpu is stable at 4.5ghz 1.35 volts or lower then its a good chip -

    for ram i have gskill 2400mhz for now / waiting for my 32gb crucial balastic kit 8 sticks of 4gb each .

    The maximum frequency achievable depends on your chip and how far you are willing to go. There is no official word on safe vcore. But most would agree to keep it below 1.35V.

    That is correct. You increase the frequency first. Then adjust the RAM voltage as needed. In some cases, you'd need to relax your timings as well.

    @chino

    should i just 1st change the frequency of the ram 1st with out changing any thing else , if i do have to increase the ram voltage from 1.2 volts then what voltage should i select if i want to go from 2400 to say 2800mhz or even 3000mhz

    You have to test. Try something like 2666MHz with 1.25V. If it works, then try 2800MHz with the same voltage. If it's a no go, continue increasing the RAM voltage.

    Ok guys, new here as well, so this is my problem:

    Bios on default, my memory is at 2133mhz. When i try to turn on XMP profile and put my memorys to its default setting, 2666mhz i get many kinds of error, including bios jammed, corrupted windows 8.1. I cant do a proper overclock test with that happening.

    I manage to encode a movie without any problems @ 4.3ghz / 1.3v and memorys at 2133mhz. Anything higher then that my pc get jammed.

    What do you guys think is the problem here?

    Thank you.

    See if you're running the latest BIOS. If not, download it onto a FAT32 formatted USB pendrive and update the BIOS through the EZ Flash Utility. Once the process is completed, clear your CMOS. Proceed to activate XMP profile and restart your system. See if it's stable.
