2-way SLI and slots

Hi guys,
as my board is currently under way I have a question regarding PCI-E slots for 2-way SLI.

- Which of the 4 PCI-E Slots should I use or are they all 16x?

- The more important part for me: Whats the distance in mm between the two ports?
(would like to get an EK Terminal/Bridge or whatever they call it to join the two GPU blocks)

Greetings,
Christian

Hello Gishan

You will want to use slots A1 (first red slot) and B2 (black slot) for 2 way sli. With 2 cards installed they will run at x8 x8 pcie 3.0 of course.

I'm not sure of the exact spacing but you should be able to do what you want to do.

2x16 i think.
look in the manual pdf if its out.
you can download it now from the support page.

The manual doesn't say anything about SLI configurations.

But I figured it out myself (kind of):

1) Which slots?
> On higher res photos of the board you can clearly see that slot 1 and 3 have more soldering points that the other ones.
> I assume that this means these slots could be x16.

2) Distance between slots
> Did overlay a photo of the RIVE with one of the RVE.
> Seems that the distance between both slots are the same. Anyone knows how much the distance was on RIVE?

Hello

The manual states proper PCIe slot usage for all video card configurations from a single video card up to 4-way SLI/Crossfire. For 2 card SLI the manual specifies the first and third red PCIe x16 slots should be used.

Hm, then I must have overlooked it... I even did a search on the PDF for "SLI"... nevermind.
