There's only one way to stabilize an overclock. And that is to increase the voltage that the CPU is asking for.

    Hi !

As others have suggested, increasing your core voltage is the best place to start. I'm guessing you'll need 1.4-1.45mV on your core to keep it stable at 4.8GHz. My i5 4690K requires 1.46 to be completely stable at 4.8GHz.

I would recommend you lower your Uncore (Cache Ratio) by 100-200 MHz. Leave the voltage on that the same (Auto). Please try both upping your core voltage and lowering Uncore speed until it stabilizes. Keep a very close eye on the core temps above 1.4mV !

Let me know how you go with this.

    Kind Regards

I use ai suite 3 5 way optimization. I set in the parameters to overclock to 4.6GHz. I obtain that overclock with 1.328V. Anandtech suggest 1.45V for 4.8GHz. Check that out : http://www.anandtech.com/show/8227/d...and-i5-4690k/2
