R5E with 5930K and F4-3000C15Q-16GRR GSkill Memory

Will R5E with a 5930K work well with GSkill F4-3000C15Q-16GRR? I don't want to purchase memory that won't operate at the advertised speed. Tried GSkill 2800 memory with a 4770K last year and it was a loss due to the IMC on the CPU. Never had a stable system with that memory in that particular machine. So, will this memory clocked at 3000 work OK with the 5930K on the R5E? Thanks.

The ability to run fast memory on this Haswell-E platform still depends largely on your CPU's IMC. As far as the R5E is concerned, it is able to run RAM at this speed and more!

Personally I haven't had the chance to play with the G.Skill kit you mentioned. But from what I've seen so far, Haswell-E CPUs seems to have a beefy IMC.

That's reassuring compared to what happened with that 4770K. Hope it works well. Finding the hardware is the trick now. Still limited availability for most of these parts. Thanks for your help.

Works for me on an X99 Deluxe, at the moment any frequency over 2400 sets the strap to 125, just something to remember, Raja mentioned there may be bios revision to allow the higher freq RAM to run at the 100 strap

Is that using a 5930K? It's all on the IMC on the CPU from what I understand. Thanks.

I have ran it on a 5820, 5930, and 5960, set XMP settings and it works fine on my X99 Deluxe, I have a RVE coming tomorrow
