    The expense of the higher frequencies is the other issue. You really don't get that much real world performance as Chino pointed out above.

    It's called wank factor that's all people get it because they can just like some one getting a 5960x and using it for gaming .

    I was lucky the store i bought my R5E from was kind enough to try a bunch of ram in it before i purchased it, not sure we can name the store so i wont, but he knew what he was doing, he got the ram from 2400 all the way to 3000 stable, he also REDUCED the times from 16.16 etc to 14.14 making it even faster etc. So what i know is its not just the speed but the memory timings too - and the R5E lets you change those too.

    BLS8G4D240FSA <<< thats the part number it took 8 of those no problems at all. And im told they are the 2nd cheapest. They are called ballistix sport.

    The fact that the store decided to combine 8 individual kits of RAM really says alot about them. lol
