Question Does my G75VW support 802.11n?

My wireless adapter is Qualcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG. According to the specs provided by Qualcomm it supports 802.11n. But I cannot connect to a 802.11n network. I see the network in the wireless network list, but when I try to connect it just tells me that Windows was unable to connect. My smartphone (Nexus 5) has no problems connecting to the same network. I tried updating to the latest 10.0.0.288 WLAN drivers from the ASUS support website (I had version 10.0.0.274) but it did not help. Is there any advanced setting I need to change to enable/force 802.11n mode? Click image for larger version.
