Crosshair V random freezes

Bulletcs
Level 7
Hi, i am from Chile, and & have bought the CH5 a few weeks ago, everythings works well till I start to get random freezes while staying idle on windows, then that happens the cpu_led is on (somethimes), and the dram led is on always, i have to clear Cmos and change the sata port to get Post again.
I have set the ram values manually, i have the Corsair Dominator 2 x 4gb, 9-9-9-24, 1.65v, my current bios is the 0705 the system is STOCK, also have a 6970 xfx, and a WD caviar black 750gb, i did install windows on a fresh partition, the PC has passed Memtest for about 9 hours, no errors, my firsth tough was on the HDD (a caviar SataII), so a buy the WD, nothing changed... and here in southamerica there´s RMA? really i don´t know what to do.. my cpu is a phenom 955 C3, i also have a toughpower 700w, when i set the values of the ram.. everything runs OK, like now.. but in some point that can be 10minutes or 6 hours, the PC freezes with NO reason, no bsod.. only the dramn blinks.. and is a huuuge problem to get post again.

Hopefully i get some help over here with raja and the other users. I also did everyhing that the other topics says, I test 1 stick in all the slots, I get post so is not that, also notice that when i use the 2 sticks, the MoBo take less time to freeze, I am really tired of this, the system when it works.. runs soo smooth, and when i think that the problems are over, PAF freeze 😞

Sorry if there a few mistakes with my english.

Greetings from Chile.
Jorge.

Are both 2x4GB modules in the black dimm slots?
Manually enter your basic memory timings in the bios: 9-9-9-24 with a CR of 2T (leave all others on Auto).
Increase your DRAM voltage to 1.66250v and CPU/NB voltage to 1.30v.
Your CPU voltage at 1.32v may be a tad too low, play around with higher settings (like 1.35v).

Hi, is any difference between the colour of the slots? I have the mobo just the way you said, i also increase a little the cpu volt to 1.35, Seems stable for now, but idk what to spect.. i am with only ONE dimm for now.

You always populate from the rear dual channel slots first (furthest away from the CPU).

Why are you only with one dimm for now?

OK, now i have the 2 dimms on the red slots, when i shutdown the pc the mobo dont post ande i have to clear cmos and load my profile with the correct values, also when no posting the cpu_led was on all the time,i set the timming and voltages and i manage to boot into windows, everything seems to go well right now, hopefully the mobo will not freeze anymore.. 😄
If it freeze what can i do?

Tnx for your time and sorry for my english.

Just see how it goes for now, do not overclock anything until you get the system stable.

What bios version are you currently using?
