Hi friends,

I've got a problem which i'm fighting with.

When I boot : qcodes change a lot of time, then it stay on A2.
No display, nothing post.

Previously I first have another matter.
When I booted I was able to hear one long beep, then two short beeps. repeat.
This was _solved_ by switching the two rams dimms from the red slots to the black slots.

Then I had a qCode = to AE.
So I plugged my keyboard (wireless) and put the CD of Windows 7 64bits in the CD Device.

That's where I have the A2 qCode.

Do you have an idea of what can I do ?

Here's my config and informations :
Motherboard : Maximus VI Hero

My BIOS revision is 1301.

I've spotted these versions of BIOS update available for my motherboard :
http://screencast.com/t/mUWQByTXyarr

Should I grab one of them and update ?

Hello fuebob

Try disconnecting your HDD and removing your gtx 770 and using the igpu. Connect your monitor cable to the proper port on your motherboard.

Do you still get code A2?

Hi there,

I'll try to remove the HDD, it's the only thing I haven't done.

I've already plugged out the GPU but it was the same.

I'm still and always connected to the Motherboard for display

Keep you posted

Ok guy let me know if removing your hdd makes code A2 disappear.

Have you installed your operating system?

UPDATE : now i can display the bios to the screen.

Windiws DVD boot but when i'm the step to choose language, right after that, I've got a message saying that the drivers haven't been found.

How can I proceed?

No, I haven't installed it as everything is new. I just have the CD of windows, but everything is new and empty 🙂

Everything is solved.
Grab another DVD of Windows. Set the Sata to AHCI.

Cheers
