What is this?



I see the main chip of the GPU uses the copper, but what the hell is the stuff that's carrying the rest of the heat from the surrounding chips? Is it aluminium? It looks too pinky to me.

P.S. I understand how the two metals work together. I just want to make sure that this material is properly identified.

Is this REALLY aluminium surrounding the copper plate, or something else??
