Realtek Audio drivers G73SW
I currently have the Realtek drivers 6.0.1.6162 published in 7/21/2010 for the G73SW. Are the ones listed on

Realtek Audio driver v2.63 (07/20/11)
the correct drivers for this laptop and has anyone seen a audio quality improvement by updating to the newest version if so? The reason why i ask about the drivers is that i am hoping it will fix the problem i have with my speakers being fuzzy on certain bass notes seen in a post i did earlier.

I don't think any driver will fix that problem. It sounds like something is being vibrated by the speaker, or the speaker is vibrating against its mount.
That's a fairly common occurrence, it seems. Here's an example- http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus...ns-photos.htmlRead the User's Manual for more info.

I think that's the driver that I used for my JH but you should probably check to see if there is a newer one on the ASUS website or on Realtek before you install. Chastity is on hiatus for a while so they may not be the latest and greatest.

There is a bug with the 2.66 Realtek High Definition Audio Codec driver. When you click the bubble to disable 'show the notification area icon' it will not disable it the next time you restart your computer. I disable the Realtek HD Audio Manager in System Configuration anyways.

Realtek should already know by now. They update their drivers about every two or three weeks and you'll most likely see the change. Sometimes they update their drivers within a couple days.
