The laptop is brand new, all Ive done is an attempted nvidia driver update that didnt go well. Im now unable to play AVCHD videos lol. I didnt do the windows install so Im assuming its just an OEM install. Its Windows7 64bit.
As for the key board Im missing keystrokes, alot. I tried to install the ATK package but it said I had to delete the previous version and I couldnt find it lol.
Whats a quick list of the things for me to download? Im ganna go ahead and start on the WLAN driver and the ATK package again.
ThanksLast edited by DDustin; 12-25-2011 at 01:03 AM.

For the keystroke thing, updating the BIOS firmware has been helpful for many folks.
Go to the first post of this thread and you'll find a link to the v/203, along with detailed instructions on how to update. Do not use any other method (especially the WinFlash utility) to update BIOS firmware.
Then do the ATK Package. Also, I'd update the WLAN and chipset drivers. There may be other new drivers, like LAN, audio, etc., but they're not as important.
The other thing you can do is start uninstalling Asus bloatware....there's a ton of it and some of it is bad, intrusive software.
If you have any concerns that the video driver situation messed up your installation, you could always do a factory restore and start over. That option is easiest now, when your machine is new and you haven't added much of your own stuff yet.

The download is just a zip file....Windows recognizes that, doesn't it? You right-click on it and select "Extract all" to unzip it, then copy the extracted file to a thumbdrive, as per the directions I referenced earlier.
