I Googled it and found that it's just a trial, anyway.

I think Asus purged a lot of stuff from their servers.

First off, I am sorry if I am not supposed to post this here but I am at a loss.

Ok so I have the major drivers installed, except for the Realtek audio which for some reason or another does not work. What is Realtek's deal anyway are they a Real comapany...

I digress, but I have reinstalled Windows 7 HP-64 at least twice after many issues related to SP1 not updating and I thought all was good but I am still receiving driver related issues from three things.

*Bluetooth Module - "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

    *Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller

    *USB2.0-CRW

For the last two, Windows says that the manufacturer is unknown and when I try and update through device manager it says that it cannot find a driver.

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

Also, if anyone else has an Intel SSD, the "Intel® Solid State Drive Toolbox" is a great way to view and manage your drive:

How about just using a Windows + SP1 installer? At least that issue would be avoided. As for the USB errors, have you installed the Fresco driver yet? Regular 2.0 drivers are included in Windows, so it wouldn't make sense to be getting errors from those.

Which Realtek driver did you use? I'd suggest getting the latest one directly from Realtek.

PS: I use the Intel Toolbox on my other laptop and, yes, it's very handy.

Installing Windows 7 + SP1 would have saved me a lot of trouble, but I didn't have the disc made, oh well. I have not installed the Fresco drivers and it does not make sense that I am getting errors on the USB 2.0 drivers but it is happening and Windows cannot update them.

What is the exact text of the error messages you receive? It may help troubleshoot the failed driver installation issues.

Do you have Antivirus software (particularly if 3rd party) running? That can sometimes interfere with installations.

    Re-install the USB devices:

    • Go into Device Manager, and expand the "Universal Serial Bus Controller" section
    • Select any entry you see that includes the word "controller" or "host"
    • Right-click and select "Uninstall"
    • Repeat for the other "controller" and "host" entries until there's no longer a "Universal Serial Bus Controller" section left in Device Manager
    • Reboot your machine
    • Windows will detect the USB devices and automatically re-install the drivers. Let this process run all the way to completion

    See if that helps.
