Ethernet NIC problems

Hello,

Does anyone have problems with Intel ethernet NIC? Latest drivers are installed. When i log in to windows, i need to disable and then
enable the NIC from device manager to get it work... I have Windows 8.1 64-bit

List your complete system specifications please.

Also did you install any of the Asus programs that are included with the motherboard?

This may or may not be relevant to your issues. When i first loaded Win 8 pro and isntalled the mainboard drivers for the ethernet port, I had no issues. However, once I updated to WIN 8.1, my drivers for said port just disappeared, most likely overwritten? Anyhow, I tried to reinstall the drivers from the motherboard, which still didn't help. I had to uninstall the NIC drivers completely and reinstall them and finally got them to work.
