The M6e wont come near to the 941. If you want to buy now, I would buy a Sammy 941 256gb or 512gb

Nice guide Chino, I'm I right that the Plextor m.2 drive is only X2 lane drive and the Samsung X941 is 4x lanes and should benchmark at a much higher rate then the Plextor? I have the X941 and haven't installed any OS on it yet so I'm assuming that I shouldn't have any problems with it not being formated to GPT? I take it that beings I'm going to select UEFI for my dvd that windows will have an option to format the X941 to GPT. I'm I right that the GPT format is for using drives that are in a Raid array that are bigger then 4 terabytes? So why won't windows allow the M.2 use the Master boot record Format? Just trying to learn more not that pertains to my install. Thanks Steve

That is correct. The Plextor M6e was designed to only use two PCI-E lanes while the Samsung XP941 uses 4 of them. That's the reason why the XP941 puts out better numbers.

A fresh drive will come without any partitions. All you have to do is create the partition with the size you want during the Windows setup process.

Samsung XP941 owners can only install Windows in UEFI mode. UEFI only supports GPT.

If you mess something up like I did, and need to convert the drive from a MBR to a GPT, let me know and I can tell you how to do that.
