ASUS GTX 970 CRASHING! 344.60 driver

I recently upgraded to the GTX 970 and it worked great while I was playing Shadow of Morridor, but I've been playing Lords of hte Fallen and the game will randomly crash anywehre from 10 mins to 1.5 hrs after playing. The driver stops responding for a split second then recovers but the game crashes. I"m on the latest 344.60 driver. I used DDU to remove old driver files. I've also stress tested the card with Furmark without issue.

I haven't tried a ton of different games but i downloaded an old STALKER: Call of Platypus and the game runs fine but when i try to press Esc or quicksave the game freezes for a good 20 seconds and almost crashes. Seems to be an issue others have, idk if it's related to the Strix or not. ANY HELP IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My specs:
MB: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe Gen3
CPU: Intel i5-2500k 3.3g
PSU: Corsair AX650 R
SSD: Intel SSDSA2CW120G3K5

Huh. I have the same issue. I thought it might be just Gigabyte motherboard users. Just about every complaint I see comes for one. I have a Z77X-UD3H and have the same issue. Almost every report of this issue has been a Gigabyte MB. Anyway, some have had luck with upping the power to the card.

Have you been able to fully eliminate the issue by uppping the voltage? Did you just up the voltage via GPU tweak? What volatage are you running at?

I'm planning to open my rig up this weekend to double check all of the connections between the PSU/MB and components.

Hello

I have not had any crashing issues with the Strix 970 running at 1500MHz on the R5E. Have you checked the entire system for stability?

My system seems pretty stable, haven't been having any issues with other components or anything. Now that I've cleaned up the drivers I'm planning to flip in my old EVGA 560Ti to see if the issue is indeed with the card or just with the programming/current driver. I'll report back when i do.
