should i be reading core VID or current core VID? core is 1.337 but current is 1.048
VID is what the chip reports as needing for stock - Current is what the board is giving it - don't worry about it being less than the VID when it's idle because chances are C&Q is clocking it down for power saving - stick it under load with Prime95 or something and check what it's ramping up to
You could set it manually in the BIOS if you wanted - Id use Offset if you want power savings to still work - if you're not bothered about that, and are not OCing, set it manually to the VID 1.337v
And as above - Coretemp is the one you want to watch - you can install a program called "Coretemp" to monitor it, but with FX CPUs it is only accurate once the temps reach 40c and above, below that it doesn't report them properly, and tbh under 40c doesn't matter anyway - these chips max core temp is around 63c (some say 73, I personally would not like to see it hit anywhere near that)
