i have purchased an ASUS ROG G750 JX earlier this year about in march and i just went back to the features list and it seems i'm missing some things that are listed there?

such as it saying i have 3d, but i don't.

it saying i have leap motion, which i don't see listed anywhere.

lastly this "sonic master" which is also listed

i have the other features listed except the ones i listed above.

11770, hello and welcome to last year 😉

3D as in the GPU supports Nvidia 3D Vision - external 3D monitor, 3D emitter/senssor, 3D Glasses and 3D software required. There were a few JX/JH's made world-wide that actually came with a 3D screen, 3D emitter built in to the bezel next to the camera/mic, and came with a pair of 3D glasses. Very few were made.

Leap Motion was a device that was included on some configurations, it is also rare and I haven't seen more than a single mention of it since release.

Sonic Master is the built-in tuning of the speaker/subwoofer/resonance cavity/software DSP - all together activated through the ROG Audio Wizard found through Realtek HD Audio Manager.

The Audio Wizard only works with the Speakers and Headphones through the Headphones jack.

So, you have everything that shipped with your particular model, all listed on the side label of the box.

Since you got your JX, there has been a whole new G750JM/JS/JZ series, and now there is a new G751 series, you might want to check it out 🙂

ah thank you,if i had the money for a more expensive version i'd have it already :p, also this is just a general pc question but if an application/game isn't running smoothly, why doesn't it take up more ram? most games only use a max of about 2gb even if they arent performing so well, and is it normal to have over 80 process' running on win 8?

11770, that's cool, and the JX will still be able to play most games for several more years, maybe even longer 🙂

I a program is lagging or glitching it might not be the problem, it might be the underlying hardware or load on the OS trying to give enough attention to the game.

There are programs that memory allocation, deallocation, and OS / build / library limits come in to play, but there is nothing that can be done once the program design and assumed OS parameters are assigned - like 16/32 bit built apps only able to access 2GB of memory - libraries and build options set limits that come into play. But, the programmer(s) are supposed to make their app run within those known limits.

Those processes running as services and system processes are all normal. You can help by uninstalling and disabling services, but be careful to take notes and research things to a known quantity / effect before making the change - take precautions so you can roll back to the point before you start experimenting.

The G750 is fast enough, and if you run only from SSD, avoiding HDD glitches, you don't have to worry much about background processes - except for runaway or bad apps that access the SSD too often - indexing, scanning files, etc.

Make sure you keep all the drivers up to date, and do your Microsoft Updates - if you aren't on Windows 8.1 yet, it's time.

Here is the list of places I look for updates for my G750JH; the best way to get a stable fully functioning G750/G751 is to update all the drivers / apps to the latest Windows 8.1 release.

The G750JW/JX/JH/JM/JS/JZ download areas haven't had new updates for a while, BIOS updates still happen in your model's support area, so check there from time to time.

The G750/G751/551/500/etc share the same basic hardware components; check support download areas for new hardware for newer drivers.

Asus maintains central support areas for hardware component features common to all products, those areas usually have the latest drivers after new hardware releases, sometimes there is a lag before the newer drivers show up there, so still to new product releases support downloads for the latest drivers.

Asus G751 Support / Download areas - Asus hasn't updated all the versions of these support areas, this link discusses the 3 locations were started independantly and not sync'd/updated through to the latest driver releases - check them all to be sure.
