    Hi @korimitsu,
your curent XHCI driver is the "default" one MS provides from windows-update "store"/servers, thus AFAIK this is the driver that causes the famous usb 3.0 issue this thread is about & IMHO it causes your issues as well.
( to be more precise, this is one of the reasons, not the only one, as the ROG laptops USB 3.0 issue is mainly because of poor HW design coupled with bad sync-of-info between Asus & MS that choose to deliver the default xHCI driver instead of the one from intel, that is publish for win7)

    "iusb3xhc.inf" & "iusb3hub.inf":
generally, INF files are just "instruction" for the OS to "know" where and what type of driver it should install to which HW device.
Those specific files are, the driver for xHCI controller ( the "chip" that responsible for the USB 3.0 traffic ) and the "sub-driver" responsible for USB 3.0 external HUB, respectively. Both drivers are made by Intel, FOR WINDOWS 7 ONLY.... thus, users @WINRAID forum's offers a "community solution" - a "modded" driver, i.e everything with the driver is the same... only difference that it is extracted (without installer, since the intel orig installer blocks you from installing the driver onto win8/10 ) + it got WINRAID's signature, that's compatible with win8/10.
For you, as consumer, that means you do NOT need to reboot into special mode (driver signature disabled mode), and can simply install the driver onto win8/10, as you would with any other SIGN driver, that was developed for win8/10.

Please follow my guide in this thread to understand how to install the xHCI driver ( you must do it "manually", as no installer exist ) and then the external hub driver.
I suggest you'll get the latest modded driver from WINRAID's forums... it is v5.xx, newer then the v4.xx I show in my guide.
I currently using that v5.xx version on my G751JT... it works great and solve my hung-ups transfers issues I had with MS default xHCI drivers.

Help With Top Left Port ASUS G751JT-T7070H

    Hello,

This is my 2nd night of trying to fix this problem and some 6 hours in.
    I've read some 25 posts from: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...ne-else/page16

I read your instructions and I've tried everything from flashing bios, unistalling, forcing drivers you name it. I can't help thinking I'm doing some wrong.

On point 2 you say: 2. goto Device manager and force install intel's drive onto "usb xHCI compliant Host Controller"

So this is a screenshot of my device manager and it's not called the exact name. Mine is called "eXtensible Host Controller - 0100"
    https://justpaste.it/zkrz

My hardware driver ID is also called REV_05 something I haven't seen anyone show.
    https://justpaste.it/zks2

    Any other suggestions?

    Oliver

"usb xHCI compliant Host Controller", "eXtensible Host Controller - 0100" - that XHCI CONTROLLER driver can be different between windows versions, editions and releases.... it is the same AFAIK, as MS "driver store" ( i.e windows update )detects it as "xhci controler" one way or another.

If you're trying to use the MODDED drivers from the 3rd party forum I mentioned in my guide - MAKE SURE to install the "license" they provide with the driver - OR ELSE you MUST reboot windows into "driver signature OFF" mode for the driver installation to be OK.

ALSO, very important - DISABLE ANY INTERNET CONNECTION ( ETH, WIFI etc... ) during the driver changes - as it neutralize the driver "auto-installation" of "windows-update" from MS servers. ( which can be a pain in *** while trying to manually replace to 3rd party drivers ).

Lastly, after you've successfully install the XHCI controller driver - leave the internet connection OFF - and reboot, as it might be necessary in order to continue with the 2nd driver installation of the USB 3.0 ROOT HUB ( which is DIFFERENT driver from the XHCI controller, but MUST be installed AFTER the XHCI controller driver ).

In order for me/community to help you more into the matter - you need to provide more info about the issue you're facing.

G751JT-T7070H with windows 8.1 and I can't get the top left port to work

    Hello,

I have a: G751JT-T7070H with windows 8.1 and I can't get the top left port to work.

    1.) I followed your post from: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...l=1#post516797
    2.) I downloaded the iusb3xhc + iusb3hub from post #152
3.) I downloaded from intel from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/dow...Chipset-Family
4.) I didn't understand the part about "installing the license" because I'm not sure what or where you get this from. Either way I Windows Run shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00 and run with forced driver settings
    5.) I turn WIFI off
5.) I force update "usb xHCI compliant Host Controller" and restart
6.) I get a yellow fail in device manager that looks like this: https://snag.gy/R9GE27.jpg

I'm not sure what else to try; am I missing something?

That win8 guide is a bit outdated... I've got a better, simpler method for installing these intel drivers and they're publish few post ahead (#181), although directed for win10... they also built for win7 and above.

Inshort, you need to goto Fernando's post from win-raid forums and get the latest like this: about the "license" part that you don't understand, please read the following:
To benefit from the driver's digital signature you have to import the related Certificate before you are trying to get the first "mod+signed" driver installed! This procedure has only to be done once.
The guide about how to import the Win-RAID CA certificate into your system can be found >here<.
My suggestion is that you follow the "C way" of installation ("the easiest way to import the Win-RAID CA certificate"), don't forget to run the .bat file WITH ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS.

Lastly, just to be sure i'm understood, my guide for win10 should be the same for win7/8/8.1 as well - and it is updated with all the links and steps that one should take.
( you might want to ignore the 1st sentence under step 1 and follow operations only after the "EDIT:"

Help With Top Left Port ASUS G751JT-T7070H

    Hello,

So I think it all installed correctly because you can now see the Intel image here: https://snag.gy/S3KMqA.jpg

However top left port always shows device failed enumeration: https://snag.gy/2RwNc9.jpg

It says driver provider Microsoft when I plug it in and USB device not recognised.

Yes use the right side USB 3 ports for USB 3 devices as you can see from this thread this is a known Issue has been for several model starting with the G75, If it not working for USB 2 stuff. Try deleting all the USB stuff in Device Manager reboot and let everything reinstall.

    Hi eDrinker,
I think that this "device failed enumeration" issue is an addition "line" in the device manager that being added after manually installing the INTEL XHCI driver package.
Not sure it is being added right away, or after some type of windows update... but is does show up.

I'm not 100% sure, but for a LONG TIME I suspect that it has something to do with window's BCD file being changed/curropy in some mysterious way.
cut story short, I have reinstalled current bios (same version by using the /nodate switch ) and that made it gone ( until some other big update showed up, or that i've completely reinstalled the INTEL XHCI driver etc... )

give it a try - it can't hurt.

NOTE: the fact that "device failed enumeration" exist in your device manager does hurt anything... it is an ADDED component ( again, don't know why ), but NOTHING is missing in term of USB 3.0 support/drivers.

EDIT: just for the record... here's another reference for that issue that i've posted before.
As I reported, this issue might come up also if you install Asus's "AI Suite III" package. ( I publish in my usb 3.0 guide an experimental way to get UASP working on G751 serie using that package ).

I also have a G74SX and it suffers the same problem as my G752VT left hand ports. Disconnecting on WD Passport drives.
