Why is the 970 GPU only running at 540 Mhz ?

At the right GPU clock it would crap all over the 780.

msi afterburner got messed because my friend forgot to shut down msi afterburner when installing new drivers.

Ok. The 970 should still be about 10% faster than the 780. But it would depend on the game. Also BF4 is very CPU intensive. Could be CPU limited.
