how to reset PC?

Hi.

I was a bit asleep at the keyboard, trying to install aps for my new 751jm last night... and got infected with omiga-plus.

Kaspersky didn't even see it, Malwarebytes fails to remove it, and of course Spyhunter is part of ongoing borderline credit-card fraud.

So, seems my only recourse is to reset the laptop.

But how??? I pressed F9 like a maniac... nothing. Held the key in... nothing. (EDIT: During reboot, ofc.)

So I tried to access the bios itself, to maybe enable POST... F2... nothing. DEL... nothing...

Could someone please tell me what the hell to do???

Hey there, IIRC you need to press Ctrl+F9

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
2. Tap or click Update and recovery, and then tap or click Recovery.
3. Under Remove everything and reinstall Windows, tap or click Get started.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Something like that 🙂

Thank you both - I don't have a touchscreen, though.

I have to leave a few minutes, but ctrl+F9/ F2 during boot-up didn't work either...

Press ESC to get into the BIOS...

The trick was that the startup is insanely fast - pretty much you have to be holding in F2/ F9 when you press power...

Thank you all for the replies, though.

Just press F9 when booting up... No need to press CTRL with it.
