Apparently there is an power issue with G74Sx. One day I was reinstalling Windows and laptop was rebooting according to software requirement and then suddenly it wont turn on. I manually tried to turn it on and was successful but then the next time I tried to turn it on, nothing happened except the light on power button turn blue for a second and then nothing. With A/C power connected the battery light (red/Orange) stays on and nothing else. I guess there is enough juice in the battery to show the light but not to turn on the laptop. No more warranty so I am wondering if its better to get a new laptop than to send this one in for repair, not knowing what it will cost. I read on one of the posts that it could be my mobo is fried. I have tried all the remedies to no avail. No more ASUS for me.
