Battery Charging light went kaput, not sure if this is normal.
As the title says, my CH71's battery charging light went out suddenly. See the attachment. For some reason this laptop is now frustrating me. Do let me know if there is any fix for this. Also rest of the panel lights are not working properly as well. This when charge is 97% and ac is on.

Interestingly, if you press just about right above the numlock indicator it goes off and if you press a little bit more the airplane mode indicator goes off as well.

BullFinch, sounds like a pinched wire, it's a fault you can't fix so either return to the seller for a new one if you are still in the seller's return period, or if not then RMA to Asus for repair.
Make a list of all the things you want fixed before contacting Asus, and list everything in the RMA request first time - it's iffy to add things later.
https://vip.asus.com <== create a login, register your laptop, file a Technical Inquiry with clear details stating the problem(s) and request a repair RMA - attach a zipfile of photo's as well to help illustrate your point.
Please come back and let us know how it works out

Thanks a lot for the reply.
I am still in the return time frame from amazon so I have asked for a replacement. Lets see how it goes.
