    BIOS for Hero

Recently I read that the latest bios isn't good for OC. Is that true? If so, which do you recommend. Maybe to try 1104 version?

I personally use 1104 for Overclocking. 2012 and 2201 result in BSOD for me when I OC.

Why isn't the latest bios good for overclocking? Just curious because I have 2201 and have my 4790k at 4.6ghz@1.18 volts running stable (xtu, 3dmark, cinebench).

No problem manually OC'ing with 2201 either.

When I go to the asus support site and search for our motherboard I don't see the 2201 BIOS, just earlier ones. Where are you all getting it from?

    Thanks.

    Hi Jeff

The MAXIMUS VII HERO BIOS 2201 is at the top of the list dated 2014/12/04 however it has the wrong description added to it
I guess whoever posted it just copy and pasted the MAXIMUS VII HERO BIOS 2012 description and forgot to update it to 2201
