I have a g75vw with windows 7 that the hard drive went out on and just got a hp envy with Windows 8 but am locked out via password. I put the hard drive from the hp into the asus and it loads to the login screen fine but when I try to recover and install with my asus windows 7 disk it says theres no fixed drive found. It seems to reconize it in bios so is there something I could be doing wrong or is there a way to get past the windows 8 password?
