Comp stalls with p8p67 pro

I get major system stalls in opening files every time I try to, on top of that, it also gets me a bluescreen sometimes now. It just pretty much keeps my windows 7 mouse staying in a circle for a bit then about 1-2 min later at most opens what I tried opening.

I cant tell if its my processor or not. I ran the intel processor diagnostic tool and it said there are no problems, so Im thinking its my mobo...

Is there anything I can run to test if its my motherboard? because come friday, Im swapping it out with a new one, but it be nice to know if I should RMA for the future or not...

I cant find no tools regarding testing a motherboard for problems, and hence why I also think maybe the motherboard messed my gtx 560ti that I sent in too, and hopefully it wont mess up my 460 atm I still got in here for now.

Would appreciate any help, because I really dont wana hope its my processor.

I ran virus tests and everything else including memtest for to see if it was my memory and that wasnt it either.

Using also latest bios the 1850 version i installed a month or two back atleast. if not more.

Just hoping for the best atm though to make it till friday.

Thanks guys.

This started happening about 2-3 weeks ago that ive noticed majorly.

Even in games like Hon, I can not even use the push to speak hot key in game because something is totally wrong with my comp.

I PRAY its not my processor because that will take years to get a new one from intel, and being in a top world guild in rift, and other games, I cant afford to take a break for a long time and lose my spots in gaming.

UEFI version I stated, its 1850

Haf X
i7 2600k
8gb gskill ripjaw 1600mhz
Zotac gtx 460 amp! edition gpu
Antec Kuhler H20 620
Asus P8p67 Pro
Coolermaster Silent Pro Hybrid 1300W
Asus PCE n13 wireless card

Drivers I cant help you with since there are no drivers specified for what version they are. Even though they are up to date, and also know they are not the drivers by 99% because these drivers have been working fine since I updated them before these problems happened. I then updated to latest and nothing improved so I reverted back before I deleted any restore points just because im reformating my comp regardless in a few days when I put in a new mobo.

All parts - what about your hard drives and USB devices?

Drivers - do you have IRST drivers installed?

Also how do I know if Intel Rapid storage is installed? Im pretty sure I did though, and what would that have to do with my system hanging, IF I didnt have it installed yet it lasted so long without it till now so why would it act up with or without it.

The IRST drivers are known to interact badly with some solid state drives, the fix is generally to roll back to the MS AHCI driver. Device manager will show you which driver you have installed. Issues like these, either the user installs a lot of background software that eats system resources, changes a driver or has a horribly fragmented hard drive. With only partial information provided as was in the first post, it is very difficult for someone remote to make any kind of educated guess. Even if any measures suggested have been tried, it is always good to state all debugging performed when making a post asking for help instead of assuming we all know what you have done.

If you have system restore enabled it may be worth rolling back (always worth creating a restore point before installing something new). Other than that, to eliminate software from the list of potential candidates a reinstall of Windows may be necessary. Before that though, check event viewer error logs and see what the logs show when the system pauses, this may give a hint as to what is wrong.

What would I look for in event viewer I never use it and have no idea what im looking for nor do I know how to use it exactly.

You should be able to search for Event Viewer info using Google and work it out (there is loads of MS info on the web). It's accessed via Computer Management. In Event Viewer you are looking for errors (driver/hardware time-outs and such).

I see nothing in event viewer except applications system ect. nothing about hardware... Could be a little more specific where I could find these, not being rude.

Then reset the system to defaults and debug.

Any info that is searchable by Google I generally suggest the user searches for as it serves to educate. The errors in Event Viewer are easy to see, its a linear time based log file that you scroll up and down through checking for errors (nothing more to it).

Roll back IRST drivers to MS AHCI if you have them installed (you may need to delete the drivers from the system completely). If it still persists, run a fresh Windows install if you have a spare HDD or HDD space (minimalistic install with drivers and a couple of games and see if the issue still occurs). No other way to track this down.
