Overclock with tweak - advice wanted

Hi, does anyone know why this happens: i set boost clock to near 1450, power target to 120, memory clock near 7800 in gputweak 2. Then when using in games i see boost clock climbing up to 1510 if not higher in monitor software....even if i set it to 1450. Why does this happen exactly?

Also am i doing everything right with overclocking? I just changed those 3 values. Temperature seems to be around 70c while in heavy use. Could i push the clock even higher?

70c is ok 90c is on the edge , u can push a little more. I find Tweak ll does not keep settings or profiles. as experiment try MSI afterburner with those settings see if there is a change in settings. I find Afterburner more reliable

So you already switched over to MSI Afterburner?

I think you should give GPU Tweak II another chance. There are some bugs but generally it works quite well for most people.

If you set the target to 1450 and it can boost up to 1510, that's actually great news. It looks like your card has great potential to be pushed even higher. Actually 70c is pretty good and it's no where near when the card will start suffering from thermal throttling.

Imho GPU Tweak II works equally as well as MSI Afterburner, my OC results are the same, so it's just down to which interface you like more.
