Right now I am enjoying my G750JH OC'd being fast and stable

Compared to the G750JZ/JS/JM my G750JH OC'd is essentially the same or better performance, so no need to upgrade then - I would have likely gotten a G750JZ if Asus hadn't enabled the Intel GPU and forced Optimus into the G750, what a waste...

I have been waiting for the G751 to stabilize with fixes, and then the G750JY comes along - I am waiting to see if the G750JY Optimus can be disabled. The G751 might still be the one if the G750JY can't disable Optimus.

And, who knows what else will be announced / released between now and March /June.
But did you manage to get updated drivers back then, or how did you do it?

JonasWP, much of the time editing the .inf file worked, but sometimes like you are experiencing we had to wait weeks/months for new drivers. Sometimes it happens quickly, sometimes it takes longer.

One of the pitfalls of getting a new product line at launch, you learn to expect it... not enjoy it, just accept it.

I went through it with the G2S, my W90vp was really bad at launch, fortunately I got it 4 or 5 months after launch and didn't need to go through much waiting. The ATI Crossfire drivers were updated soon after I got it. The G750JX/JH 3D models went through maybe 6-7 months of waiting. I think it was a couple of months for the G750JW - maybe less.

It's too bad some games aren't loading, usually that isn't the case - you just get less performance - and that is liveable.

You keep downloading the new BETA/WHQL releases from Nvidia until it works.

Hmm you might be right... I just checked on NVIDIA to see how old my current driver is... - its from April... O.o

Going to heed your advice and watch for BETA releases I guess Since modding the INF files hasnt helped me at all. :/

Maol44, thanks for that post, it was posted here a little while ago, here is the English / US version 346.87:

Question (or complaint) about updated graphic drivers for G771JM
    https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...l=1#post466710

laptop2go now has a newer driver, listed as Nvidia Mobile, not Asus specific, but it might be worth a try, as eventually Nvidia will be including the G771 hardware ID's to support installs of new driver releases.

    v347.12 Windows 8 64bit | NVIDIA Desktop/Mobile OEM

Please let us know which one you try and works for your G771.

That early-driver should not have been given out sorry.

EDIT: Just seen Nvidia this morning. This leak is obviously extremely premature and our support team did not know such thing existed. There's a lot of investigation, validation and information preparation work to do from all parties in regards to 'future G-Sync functions' (in whatever capacity that is), so don't expect further discussion on this for some time.
It's out now, so by all means have fun with what you've got (yay for PC gaming), but we can't help or comment on it directly yet sorry
