Asus G751 Support / Download areas
Guys, Asus now has 3 different G751 Web Design / Layout support areas.
G751 Support / Download Areas - OLD - has all 4 G751 models
http://support.asus.com/Search.aspx?...751&ps=10&pn=1
G751 Support / Download Areas - Newer
http://www.asus.com/us/Search/?SearchKey=g751
G751 Support / Download Areas - Newest - has all 4 G751 models
http://www.asus.com/Search/?SearchKey=g751
Look at the URL's for where these are coming from.
The 1st Web Design / Layout doesn't have all packages the 2nd Web Design / Layout does, and the 3rd evolution Web Design / Layout is the most up to date with the most packages for download.
The latest BIOS 205, isn't in the first G751 Web Design / Layout support area, but is in the 2nd and 3rd.
If you find newer branches elsewhere, different regions with support areas with newer packages, please post and let us knowLast edited by hmscott; 02-13-2015 at 03:21 PM.

This needs stickied and Asus needs to get their crap together regarding the support sites, no good reason exist for such a disjointed release cycle.

x7007, which Asus Mouse do you have? If you don't have an ROG mouse, then you don't need the Asus Gaming Mouse driver. In fact if you have an Asus Mouse, you should go to the specific download support area for that mouse. Try searching for mouse or mice here:
ROG DRIVERS
"This page has been created so you can quickly find (using Ctrl+F) the correct product page for your ROG or Strix products and ASUS DirectCU II graphics card. It lists only the most recent ROG hardware; for older hardware series, please go to the ROG main page on the ASUS website directly.

Thanks for posting this! Sorry if this is a nooby question, but how do I know which drivers I need to install? In the past I've relied on Windows Update aand a Dell Driver tool but it seems like something similar may not be available for my G751JT
Thanks!

mrw28, it's pretty straightforward, the Programs and Features control panel will show you what is installed, and what version number it has. You need to carefully look at both, as sometimes the version numbering is different for different families of hardware with the same driver name - like Qualcomm stuff, but it is easy to figure out when the number is a whole different number.sequence.
Then find the spot's with the driver, your laptop model, the newest one of that series, and look in the central locations for categories like Notebook Audio, WAN, LAN, etc and pick the newest version number - don't go by date - scroll down a ways in the central repositories as Asus has a tendency to redeploy old versions again and they are on the top of the list, so the higher version numbers are actually further down the list.
Then try to install the new driver, it may ask for you to uninstall the current driver first - then reboot - and install the new driver - reboot again, and then go on to the next update.
You can sometimes get away with doing a few unrelated updates before taking a reboot, but it is best to do them 1 at a time with a reboot in between - especially before checking for an improvement / change - you won't be running the new driver until the reboot. Nvidia has changed that for their drivers - they don't need a reboot - but I still do it anyway
Sometimes I do updates weekly, especially when Windows 8 became Windows 8.1, but now I go a month or more - like 3 months last time - and found I had 4 or 5 new drivers to update. Once you are stable you can put more time in between updates, or do them as frequently as before - whatever feels right for you - gaming comes first
Have fun
