G74SX windows experience rating Question

I recently did a clean install of win 7 pro on my G74SX-DH73-3D. Updated all of the drivers and everything seems to be running fine for me. I absolutely love this laptop!

But... when I ran the windows experience index I got a 6.5 for both windows aero and gaming graphics. Before I did the clean install it was at least 7.1 I believe.

I do have the latest nvidia driver.

How do I fix this and is my graphics card actually being limited maybe?

Thanks for the help.

You may need to create a "High Performance" Power Plan or install Power4Gear and set it to "High Performance". http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=97427 indicates enabling vertical synchroniation may lower your WEI score. Also check out "Ways to improve your computer's performance" in Windows Help and Support.

Seems like I also read that there's also some 3D thing in the newer nVida drivers that's disabled at installation. You have to enabled that (in nVida Control) to get the full functionality and maximum "score" back. I don't use any 3D stuff, so I never bothered with it myself.
