Swift 144hz flicker issue?

Anyone know how to fix the flicker with 144hz enabled?

I don't have any problems with 60-120Hz, but as soon as I enable 144Hz there's very bad flicker.

I've tried newest drivers, tried changing through Windows and through the button.

Monitor was only bought 2 days ago, 2 minutes after setting it up the flicker started.

Contacted Asus support, they basically told me to p**s off and contact the retailer (which isn't any help)

I'd rather not have to get it replaced, as I need a monitor to finish off University work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Liam, have you tried any other driver apart from 347.09? I know that this driver itself causes a blinking effect when 144Hz is run in games, 60Hz and 120Hz run fine. It must be something to do with G-Sync as on Windows desktop there is no blinking at 144Hz, only when the light is red. Rolling back to 344.75 or 344.80 fixes it for me which tells me it's a driver problem.
I'm not sure if the flicker for you and blinking for me are the same problem but thought I'd mention it.

I had a similar issue, 144hz on hdmi was causing a full bar of flicker/screen tear when desktop background changed. Swapping to display port or dvi fixed it.

ROG Swift is DP only, so that can't be the issue. Thanks anyway.

I'll give 344.75 and 344.80 a try thanks.

The flicker sometimes just stops all together, then eventually comes back again. It's much more noticeable on the desktop as text becomes kind of jumpy.

Getting flickering on only 60Hz now 😞 sick of this monitor already. £600 for a failing moitor.

Looks like I'm sending it off for a replacement, shameful quality control from Asus.

Last Asus product I ever buy.
