I just had been wanting to try one of these for a long time, I do have 2 corrupted R5E bios chips to play with, I ordered another programer as I believe the firmware update bricked the programer, if not and I am misunderstanding something I haven't lost much money.
I am not asking you for this but I would prefer to see your guide in a pdf format with the screen shots and written instructions instead of a video.

I would rep you but it seems I already have
Does sound like you may have a bricked programmer, the programmer i brought already had the updated software so i didnt have the risk of bricking mine, I would return it and say it never worked :P.

If i get time down the track i may make a PDF version.

Your mac address is all that really matters which is on the side of your 24 ATX power connector which is in the video ;-), if you couldn't back up your UUID then you will have to make a new one as these cant be recovered off a sticker, your MB S/N is also on your box of your board.
Make sure your erasing your chip 1st as skipping this step will render your chip unbootable with code 00.

LiveOrDie, you are a real champ for this work as I also have the dreaded 00 after doing a copy bios 1 to bios 2. Mate one question with your guide as I am ready to give it a go. My serial number on the board and on the box contains Letters and number, however when I dumped my working bios via a utility it gave me a completely different serial number containing all numbers and 15 of them. So then I used CPUz and it also showed this same 15 digit serial with only numbers. So which should I use the one on the box and add those three extra digits you suggested or go with the dump and cpuz as I am worried windows 8 will be activated on one but fail on the other if I get this wrong.

    kind regards DTHCoCo

Hi DTHCoCo, Use your S/N shown in your dumped bios it will be the correct one, As i didnt have a saved bios when doing my chips i used the serial numbers off my MB, It is odd that they don't match though as they should, ether way use the one from your saved bios along with the other info, Windows activation doesn't use your MB S/N only your UUID.

Is some difference between EZP2010 and EZP2013, before I buy it from e-bay?

    Hello,

i am searching for a Win 10 x64 Driver. The driver (v3.0) delivered with the programmer does not work for me. I used the guide from this thread for installing -> Problem still existing.

You have to disable the driver signature (option 7) before loading Windows 10 OS. I've two usb eeprom programmers, EZP2010 and JHW2013 and they work fine under Windows 10 Pro x64 after disabling driver signature.

I did this, but the driver did not work. I used the Win7 x64 driver. Has anyone a newer driver for me?
