What kinds of video editing/transcoding do you do?

Currently Realbench transcodes MPEG2 DVD to h.264, but since no one buys SD media these days 😉 I'd like to understand what kind of video encoding people do to get a better understanding of needs to design a 'typical test' that's applicable to most users.

Not sure I understand exactly what your looking for but.....Sometime I use WinX Hd Video Converter to change MP4 video files to .MKV file so I can burn them with BDClown and ImgBurn into Blu-ray format. It use 95% to 99% of all 12 cores (hyperthreading) for about 40 minutes average.

There are a few on this forum that use ' Sony Vegas' Editing Software , for video encoding , this software can be configured to use either an intel , NVidia or AMD video chip for faster encoding . Vegas Software can also burn Bluray DVDs or up convert video of any file to bluray 1080p. Sony Vegas CBCTV Edition can also convert PAL {Europe} files to NTSC {north America} for TV broadcast in North America.

Vegas will use your cpu and gpu to encode videos. Maxrender only takes 6-10 mins, if taht. I like to render my uncompressed files via x264 in command prompt.
