This is exactly the same thing that happened to my Swift in November! It looks exactly like the picture I took of mine when it failed. I have been documenting my RMA process in this thread: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread...een-just-died! , and sad to say, I am 40+ days into in and only just now have I been able to get an advanced, cross ship RMA going.

My advice to you: thoroughly document the condition of your monitor; if you have a warranty with the companu you bought the monitor from, like Amazon or Newegg, deal with them. They will straight up replace it. I wish I could have done that. Mine failed after 60 days, so I have to deal with ASUS.

If you're like me, you have to call ASUS support in your region and ask to do a cross-ship RMA. ASUS's RMA process for monitors is, frankly, awful. You can't send them your monitor in the original box (they won't send it back in it), and you can only send the monitor...they even tell you to remove it from the stand. It's nuts. At least with the cross-ship they send you a new/refurbed one and you send your old one back with everything.

From my understanding they cannot update the firmware because of the G-Sync chip. I doubt anyone can make changes to Nvidia's chip at the moment. I've also heard in different areas that the G-Sync module can get very hot on these monitors. This is just from what I am hearing though I can't confirm it for certain. It wouldn't surprise me if it's related to a good number of the monitor issues.

I really hope Asus can get to the bottom of what is causing the issues this monitor is still the most incredible monitor I have ever used.
